Sara Baras, Manolo Sanlucar, Antonio Canales, José Antonio Ruiz, Aída Gómez, and Enrique Morente were summoned by Carlos Saura for his latest homage to flamenco. «Iberia» is a episodic dance movie that travels from city to city or region, covering all of Spain. The traditions of flamenco - song, music (guitar, piano and rhythm instruments) and dance is enhanced by elements of classical music, ballet and contemporary dance. The dance routines were filmed in the studio, giving Saura all kinds of opportunities to play around with camera angles, lighting and video projections and resulting in some fabulous images.
